Review of Omega Montage Massage Chair

The definition of therapy is the Omega Montage massage chair. The Montage Elite massage chair was designed to deliver a tranquil and healing massage experience. The Montage has a heat therapy system in the backrest, seat and footrest to ensure that you receive the remedial effect that you need in order to loosen up those aching muscles. I am not familiar with any other chair that has as thorough a heating system as this chair.

The Montage includes a full back massage feature with a complementary air massage system for your lower body to ensure a full body massage. As if this chair is not already relaxing enough, it has music therapy that can synchronize the massage to the rhythm of your music. It comes with a built-in mp3 player and accompanying headphones. There is even a feature on the chair that allows the chair to massage your spine to the rhythm of the music you are listening to! Quite remarkable, actually. The Montage tries to achieve the same relaxation as a professional masseuse with this feature. It is to help relax the mind and body. The MP3 player is also compatible with Windows 2000/XP. You are able to download new songs into the chair with the USB music flash drive that is included.

Not only will the chair benefit you health wise, it will also add classiness to your living area. The chair has rounded side panels and long arm rests that accompany the plush backrest that feels like velvet to the touch. For extensive comfort, the armrests ergonomically slide back when you recline in the massage chair while maintaining your arms in the same position. It is upholstered in a man-made leather and available in black, brown, and ivory...standard colors for the Omega massage chair line.

The Montage has a motorized backrest and footrest which both can be reclined and inclined with the stroke of a button. The massage chair will recline the backrest and raise the foot rest concurrently for your convenience. They also work independently as well. When your massage is complete, the back rest will automatically set itself back to the upright position and the footrest will mechanically lower itself down. The front of the footrest can tilt itself up to ninety degrees which allows you to place your feet at a comfortable angle. The footrest also has a 6" extension feature which facilitates massage for most any body heigth. I have seen this chair work equally well on short and tall folks.

With the Montage, you are able to choose from a variety of massages that vary from tapping, rolling, kneading or a combination of each of these massage functions. In the automatic or manual mode you can boost your massage with the air pressure and hip vibration feature. You are able to choose from three levels of intensities for the roller massage including the air pressure massage. The massage roller width will auto-adjust to your body type or it can be manually adjusted from narrow, regular and wide.

Choose from four back massage courses: the whole back, shoulder, middle back and waist course. The whole back course will cover your whole back from your waist to your neck making sure that it doesn’t miss a spot. The shoulder course will concentrate on your upper back, shoulders and your neck. The middle back course concentrates of the middle of your lower back ensuring pain relief. The waist course focuses on your waist and lower back to loosen up those tense muscles. It really does have a good vertical track length that goes from head to top of the buttock. The massaging mechanism is also very smooth and sturdy.

The remote control is one of the most important features of the chair. It is a pedestal remote, so if you are looking for a discreet remote control, like with the Human Touch chairs, this is not your chair. The control has an advanced LCD display that you will not have a hard time using. The remote has five pre-programmed massages that will begin at your command. If that’s not convenient enough for you, the massage chair also has a wireless sub-remote controller which slides onto the right side of the central remote.

The Omega Montage has a good seat vibration and massage feature. The only drawback is that the massage feature doesn't focus on the two buttock sides, but works down the middle. I have found this to be enjoyable by some, irritating to others. Very much a personal preference.

The Omega Montage massage comes with a 5 year limited warranty, which includes in-home repairs within the first 90 days. I have found them very accessible and easy to deal with on the customer service side.

The chair does take some assembly, which might be a little intimidating for some, but it is fairly simple. The hardest thing for me was attaching the remote to the side of the massage chair.

The Omega Montage has a sister chair called the Montage Premier. The only difference is the arm massage feature which involves two clamp-like devices attached to each arm rest which massage your forearms.
