In my search for a massage chair, I ran across this chair on Nebraska Furniture Mart's website. Holy smokes, it's JUST what I was looking for. I am ordering one today~ I'll hub about it when I get it in mid-December 2010. Stay tuned hubbers. I see a Chiropractor 3 times a week and have a 2 hour massage once a week because of Lupus (an immune system disease). So...I have plenty of need and experience to give a genuine review of this product. Is it possible to fire my massage therapist after I get this chair - I wonder? We'll see,.
Finally! I find someone reviewing this product. I have been researching massage chairs for several months and I narrowed it down to the ones that have credible backing from recognized therapy award agencies (not interested in furniture design awards). So it came down to Panasonic and Human Touch. After trying each, the Human Touch HT-7450 with an anti-gravity reclining feature came out way ahead in my experience. So, just this morning I bought one from a Toronto firm at the lowest price I could find in Canada ($2,999) and will have delivery within two weeks (shipped from California to British Columbia then to Toronto). I will give a review after using it for a few weeks, but I hope others find this hub page and share their experiences with the Human Touch AccuTouch HT-7450 massage chair.
OK, I finally got my HT-7450 in my living room. I have tried almost all the auto programs and all the manual settings. It is like having a half dozen massage therapists working on your body all at once for 15 minutes! The variety of massage strokes that go into this chair are amazing so there is no way of getting bored once you start it up.
I do have one criticism. I wish there was some way for the results of the initial acupoint scan to be entered into memory so that it doesn't have to be done before every massage session. Many chairs have room for memory profiles for several people and one needs only to recall his/her profile to have the chair ready itself for the massage. This point is important because before the acupoint scan can begin the settings have to be: Tall, Comfort level less than three and the chair upright. Once the chair has done its scan, you can put in your settings (mine are medium, comfort level 5 and with the chair reclined). Why can't I just put my settings in and bypass the acuscan part of the program? (grrrr!)
I love to get up in the morning before I have my coffee and have the wakeup massage. After this I don't really need coffee! Then before bed there is a program for getting ready for bed. For the range of massage programs that are available, I don't think there is a chair like it anywhere.
